One of the major downsides to exterior lighting is typically the high cost associated with those lights that will enhance your home and backyard. Lucky for you, Holiday LEDs has a wide selection of sale and clearance strings year-round that will allow you to do all of the outdoor decorating you can imagine without breaking the bank. We’ve compiled a list of eight budget outdoor lighting ideas to keep your yard looking bright, inviting and enchanting.
#1 – Use them to light an appropriately themed frame

For safety and liability reasons, wedding and party venues are more regularly not allowing candles in decorations, plus outdoor events can make candles impractical due to wind and other weather issues. LED lights provide a safe and beautiful alternative, with battery operated strands and micro dots making them easy and portable to use. As autumn descends into Fall, and long bright days pave way to dark evenings, a lot of parents are going to be awakened by their small child’s newly developed fear of darkness. According to WebMD, fear of the dark typically manifests itself around the ages of 2-3 when children reach the stage of brain development where the imagination takes off, but isn’t yet experienced enough to discern reality from non-reality.

2-Packs 4” Black zip ties (100/pk)
2-#45622R-B Premium Grade 5MM Red, Pure White, and Blue 70ct. LEDs
Additional Supplies – Needle Nose Pliers (tightening/cutting zip ties) & Extension Cord (powering lights while working – Always install/work with the lights on)
Before starting each color, you will want to open the set of LEDs – Stretch the set out, which will make it easier to work with.
Your starting point will vary based on your exact frame – It is best to determine your “path” before starting, as it is easiest to make one continual “line” instead of having to back track, which results in doubling up on lights you have to hide/cover. You will want to start with the first bulb on the set, following the male plug.
You will need to zip tie each bulb to the frame, as this will keep them “standing up”, and all spaced evenly. The bulb will be on the front side of the frame, positioned so if the frame was hanging the bulb would be pointing out at you. You will then zip tie, the wires coming out of either side of the bulb socket to each other, making sure the frame is in between the wires – FIG. 1 & 2
You will want to continue along the frame, zip tying each bulb at an even spacing. Once the frame is completely lit, you may or may not have extra bulbs. We had 4 extra bulbs that we ran down the bar on the left side of the frame – Which worked out for our frame, but for your design it might not. (FIG. 3)
These caps aren’t just for “extra” bulbs – You can use them to cover any bulbs you don’t want to see – Look at the difference it makes when the lights between the stars are covered. (FIG. 5)
Once you have all the bulbs where you want them, you can now make sure your zip ties are tight (a needle nose pliers is real handy for this, and saves your fingers!), and can cut the “tails” off. You will also want to zip tie your plug connections in place, so they don’t hang or come unplugged.
Now all you need to do is hang it, plug it in, and enjoy!
International Picnic Day takes place on June 18th and it’s the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the warm weather! A picnic—simply put—involves a meal that is packed up and taken with to be enjoyed outdoors. Whether you want to whisk away your special someone or host a large get together outside, picnics are a great way to enjoy some fresh air with your friends and family. Not forgetting all the fun outdoor activities you can take part in during your picnic. An activity such as Airsoft, which is similar to paintballing may be a good idea to plan as all the family can get involved and it will make you extra hungry for your picnic. The M4 Airsoft is a popular assault rifle for this type of activity so be sure to look into it before International Picnic Day. Many outings last well into the evening, which means you’ll need a way to light up the outdoors to keep the fun going!
Graduation season is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate your children’s accomplishments than by hosting a party for your graduate? And don’t forget you’ve got to get them a onesie quilt from tshirts because they’re the ideal keepsake to remind them of home as they embark on their next adventure.
Your child has worked hard for their high school or college degree and sending them off with a bang is the perfect way to mark the completion of this important milestone. For some students, they have not gathered the right amount of credits to graduate. They see this as them never graduating and alongside their peers. Times have changed now, where schools can offer students online courses to allow students more time learning topics they need, rather than what they already know. You’ll graduate in no time!
